Cheap Holiday Deals On Lanzarote

Millions of British Holiday makers will be enjoying a ‘stay-cation’ this year, rather than shelling out on a seaside holiday abroad.  According to many sections of the British media.  And whilst there can be no denying the impact of the credit crunch and the weakened pound on household spending power and confidence there are still plenty of good reasons to stick with that overseas break this summer.  As many Spanish holiday destinations such as Lanzarote are now offering bargain breaks.

Climate & Weather
There´s no getting around it.  Whatever the weather men say the British climate cannot be relied upon to deliver sunshine – even in the height of summer.  Which is why the package holiday industry really took off in the first place.

However the weather in Lanzarote can be relied upon to deliver hour after hour of sunshine day after day.  With temperatures averaging around 26 Celsius during the months of July and August – with little to no rainfall.

Like the rest of the Canaries the island is also cooled by the Trade Winds – which means it doesn’t get as unbearably hot as the Spanish mainland during high summer.

Discount Accommodation Deals
Falling demand means accommodation prices are also starting to tumble on the island.  As holiday companies and hoteliers scramble to fill beds.

Discounts are already being offered on some Lanzarote hotels for summer bookings.  Such as the four star Beatriz Hotel and Spa in Matagorda – where tourists can enjoy a price reduction of 15% on bookings made before the end of May.  Bringing the price of a weeks stay for two people on a half board basis down to around the £450 mark.

Elsewhere, villa owners are also being forced to lower their rates as competition heats up to attract bookings from a dwindling pool of tourists.  Creating further bargains for those seeking to get away on a budget.

Cheap Flight Deals
There´s currently plenty of availability on cheap flights to Lanzarote during months such as July.  With carriers such as Monarch offering returns in late July from as little as £150, excluding taxes.  And at around the £200 mark during August.

Eating Out
Many restaurants in Lanzarote are desperate to get tourists through their doors.  As a result many are now offering bargain rate fixed price menus which enable visitors to eat very cheaply.  Head for the main resort on the island, Puerto del Carmen for the pick of the best meal deals.
