London has many business establishments and the city is vibrant as well. People visit London for many different reasons. London has a lot of Landmarks and some come to the capital to visit these Landmarks. Others also come to the capital for business. The Piccadilly circus, London Eye, Trafalgar Square and the Westminster Abbey are some of the most popular Landmarks. It is somehow difficult for some people to come and shop in the Capital. The City has a whole lot of top shops concentrated on the three famous shopping Streets in Europe namely Oxford Street, Regent Street and Bond Street.
Companies are not happy of the effects of the world recession. Many workers have been made redundant and many business establishments are shutting down.. Retrenchment is seen her and there. The experts have it that, it will take sometime bfore there is recovery by the big economies. The credit crunch has not affected one industry. We are talking about hotel industry. What are the effects so far on Hotel industry? Research has only been on the bed and breakfast and hotels industry in London for this article.
I am yet to find the negative effect of the reccession on the London hotel industry according to my research. Our booking Agency has been working with bed and breakfast and big hotels for a very long time. I would like to mention that, London hotels and bed and breakfast have been very busy since I started my research back in August 2009 to the time that I am writing this article.
We have an online London hotel booking system which allows the London hotels and bed and breakfasts properties which have joined our portal to log onto the system to close out dates which they are full up or approaching full capacity. It is surprising that, hotels still get full up in the weekdays and during the weekends although we have credit crunch
.
Between March and July was the peak period for London hotels in 2008. Hotels were almost full everyday. Our guests nowadays find it hard to get rooms booked through us because of too much close out dates. Some London hotels are full up for some future dates. Hotels are so busy that sometimes they even try to book out guests to other hotels due to lack of rooms. Hotels have been closing out on dates on our real time system so we are not getting rooms booked for our clients.
The London hotel industry has still not experienced negative effect of the credit crunch. Travellers are still coming to London possible because the pound has become week in their eyes and the get more when they exchange for the pound. They also can buy more when they shop in London because things will look cheaper. At the same time, one will have to note that, the pound was not that cheap for the whole of last year. Or is it that London is so popular and so important that, no matter the economic crisis, people will still have to travel to the city? If other findings are made, information will be made available. London guests wil gain in the form of low rates if the credit crunch hits the hotel industry. This is because they will be guaranteed special London hotel offers, cheap London hotels accommodation and also cheap London bed and breakfast rates. The Tavistock hotel London is an example of such hotels.
