Your Vacation In Paris?

The Moulin Rouge (red windmill) is world known due to it’s appearance in films, books, paintings, (The Moulin Rouge was the subject of paintings by post impressionist painter Toulouse Lautrec.) Whether you’ve heard of it through the song “Lady Marmalade” or maybe seen the film starring Nicole Kidman, Moulin Rouge is known by many people, so why not visit it for yourself? The Moulin Rouge is located in the 18th arrondissements where there are lots of apartments Paris and hotel Paris nearby.

Nowadays the Moulin Rouge stages spectacular can can performances and cabaret but in the past, it was known as the hot spot for high class prostitution, the strip tease is even said to have been invented there due to a courtesan who slowly removed her clothes in a vain search for a flea crawling on her body. At this time Parisian shows such as the Moulin Rouge and Folies Bergère pioneered semi-nude dancing and tableaux vivants. One landmark was the appearance at the Moulin Rouge in 1907 of an actress called Germaine Aymos who entered dressed only in three small shells covering her womanhood.…

The Moulin Rouge flung open its doors to the world in 1889 and was a cabaret created by Josep Oller who also owned the Paris Olympia. The Moulin Rouge today still offers musical dance entertainment for adult visitors from around the world. Much of the romance of turn-of-the-century France is still present in the club’s decor. Iconic for its performances of the can-can, it had for many years existed as a respectable, working-class party dance, but it was in the early days of the Moulin Rouge that courtesans first adapted the dance to entertain the male clientele.

The current show; “Féerie’” consists of a troupe of 100 artists, including 60 Doriss Girls recruited world-wide ; 1000 costumes of feathers, rhinestones and sequins, made in the most famous Parisian workshops ; sumptuous sets in shimmering colours, uniquely designed by Italian artists ; outstanding international acts, and the awaited return of the giant aquarium; all this performed to original music recorded by 80 musicians and 60 chorus singers. As soon as the Moulin Rouge opened in 1889, various shows were created: the Quadrille, which later turned into the French Cancan, with La Goulue and Valentin le Désossé, the ‘Great Nights’ – with the stage debut of the Petoman (fartman). Not only this, but the Moulin Rouge has seen celebrities such as Edith Piaf, Yves Montand, Ginger Rogers, Lisa Minelli, Frank Sinatra make a visit or two. Lanzarote Defies Credit Crunch

Despite the credit crunch and weakening pound British consumers are refusing to surrender their place in the sun.  As specific markets, such as Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, are reporting a bumper increase in British visitor numbers for the first half of 2008.

According to research recently released by AENA, the Spanish airport authority, tourist visits from the UK have in fact increased by a whopping 15.6% during  the first half of this year, in comparison with the same period in 2007.  With the island welcoming 509,755 British guests up until the end of June2008.

Irish visitor numbers have increased too – with 123,047 tourists from Eire travelling to Lanzarote over the same period.  A rise of 5.4% on 2007 figures – and an indication of the islands incredible popularity in the Republic, with Lanzarote attracting more Irish visitors annually than any other destination in Spain.

Other key markets, such as Holland, Austria, Norway and Sweden have also helped contribute to an overall increase in foreign visitor numbers of 5.6% during the first half of 2008.  With Germany the only major market returning negative figures – down 13% to date on 2007.

The Canary Island Tourist Board has also recently reported that the number of Spanish nationals visiting Lanzarote is on the rise too.  Up 3.7% during the first half of 2008.

Collectively, these figures represent the best first half annual performance that Lanzarote has enjoyed for many years – a trend which if continued will see the island break the one million British tourist visits barrier for the first time since 2003.

All of which makes happy reading for the owners of holiday villas in Lanzarote – many of whom have reported a significant upsurge in bookings.

Grand Chateau Timeshare, Quality Child Care

There are two subjects in a university where I am belong that I love most one is about travel and vacation, the other is all about parenting and childcare. I really love the subject that I always find ways to learn more knowledge about it– even outside the school.

I use Internet to learn more knowledge about vacation and travel and child care. Before, I did not have any idea on particular sites which bear information about this topic but someone suggested that I can use search engines to find this websites.

timeshare resale broker
Some time in the past, when I happened to go to for online search for this topic I usually inputted keywords likevacation condos in my search for I have learned that timeshare is a good alternative for hotels during vacations. I retrieve timeshare information like the one below:

“Aside from the market volatility and the economy, other constraints that can help you to do timeshares for sale at a competitive price include the timeshare appearance. If you have a timeshare that looks very dilapidated, do not expect to sell it for any good amount unless you allocate enough time and effort to make it look very attractive. . Your timeshare needs to be in great appearance to upgrade your sale possibility. Telling a purchaser the good points of your timeshare as well as the special things available in it can help a lot to sell your timeshare.”

discount flights
Because vacation involves travel I also search for aifare and usually typed keywords like “discounted airfare” and I got information like the following:

Is there any real way in finding cheap airfare? Yes, if one has patience and time to find for these cheap tickets. Like any purchase, you have to roam around so that you are able to get the best deal. Or, you can browse the net for this because Internet shopping has really made it so easy now. There is no need to call for travel agent and paying them high commissions or fees. By visiting on different booking sites and comparing cheap airfare is one effective step to get a cheap, if not the cheapest airfare.

child care providers
I also searched about childcare using key phrases like “choosing daycare” and fortunately, I was able to find useful information like the one below:

“Within the first four months of an baby’s life, breast milk is very essential. After an infant reaches the age of four months, you can begin putting him or her on formula. A child who is eight-month old can be given semi-solid meals and gradually taken off breast milk In other terms, weaned. It is a good thing to follow this if you want your baby to grow up healthy and strong. Remember, your parenting strategy varies from the next person because of your uniqueness as a human being. Also, making early childhood lesson plans can be a great help to make you child healthy. “

Through internet research I was able to gain more knowledge about my favorite subjects– even outside the school.

Westin Bonaventure Los Angeles Hotel

Have you ventured out to Cali yet? I hear that’s what the locals call California, but then again, my buddy who resides in Irvine, could just be lying to me. Personally I’ve only been out to the beach state one time. Now I’m not going to say it was an awful experience, but it wasn’t the time of my life either.

In retrospect, I should have flown out there for a simple site-seeing adventure. This would be a bit more fun and exciting than what I endured. One thing I will say about California is that the Westin Bonaventure Los Angeles hotel was pretty decent. I stayed there for a week and a half, and have no complaints.

So there I was, on a flight to Los Angeles, California. It was December, 1995, and the runways were icy. Our fight actually left a day late due to a nasty winter storm. Fortunately for us, we were headed to sunny California to stay in the Westin Bonaventure Los Angeles hotel. Read more »

Staying At a Napa Valley Bed and Breakfast

My husband and I are always looking for unique vacation opportunities. We’re not content to just lie on a beach for a week or to spend all our time in musty museums. Instead, we’d much rather be participating in exciting activities and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

That’s why we’ve we decided to head for California’s wine country on our last vacation and to lodge at a cozy Napa Valley bed and breakfast for our entire stay.

We were really looking forward to touring as many wineries as possible and participating in as many wine tasting events as we could attend. We even made a detailed itinerary before we left in order to ensure that we would make the best use of our vacation time.

But as it turned out, our Napa Valley bed and breakfast was so fantastic that we hardly ever left it!

That Napa Valley bed and breakfast wasn’t the first B&B that we stayed at, but it was certainly the most comprehensive. The property included its own private vineyard and small winery, which allowed us to indulge in a bit of the wine-tasting that we were looking forward to.

In addition, our Napa Valley bed and breakfast also had a full-service spa on the premises and was adjacent to a beautiful golf course. With all of those activities right there at our disposal, plus a lovely room to boot, it’s no wonder that we were content to stay right there at our Napa Valley bed and breakfast for most of our vacation.

When we got back home and told our friends about the trip, they immediately wanted to know how we found that wonderful Napa Valley bed and breakfast to begin with. We were more than happy to share that information with them.

All we did was check the Internet to see which Napa Valley bed and breakfast establishments had their own websites. We then visited those sites to view pictures of the rooms, read about the activities and amenities offered, and of course to compare rates.

Our final step was to read about what other travelers had to say about the Napa Valley bed and breakfast establishments that they stayed at. We knew full well that it was one thing to see pictures, but quite another to read impartial testimonials from past customers.

Once we had gathered all that information, it was relatively easy to select a Napa Valley bed and breakfast for our trip. Our research served us well and helped us make a great decision, so if you’re trying to choose a Napa Valley bed and breakfast for your journey to California’s wine country, we suggest following the same process.

Making The Right Choice When Looking At Mountain Cabins for Rent

Recently, we made some plans for our upcoming vacation. We were tired of the usual city trips that we take every year, so we looked at mountain cabins for rent. We finally settled on a cabin in the smoky mountains, and headed out their on the 4th of April. Boy, were we in for a treat.

The reason that, of the all the mountain cabins for rent we chose that one had a lot to do with the picture. There were bigger, more imposing mountain cabins for rent, more luxurious destinations, but something about this particular cabin really captured the imagination.

It looked like a hunting lodge settled under imposing, gigantic virgin pine forest. In the background there was just the tiniest sparkle from the pond behind it, glistening with light filtering through the tree.

When we got there, we were more than pleased with our choice of mountain cabins for rent. The “pond” was huge. It was really more of a lake. The only thing that made it at all pond like was the stillness of the water and the presence of lily pads and swamp grass on one side.

Although there were other mountain cabins for rent by the same company around the area, only one of them was in view, and that one was better than half a mile away, on the other side of the pond. It was possible to sit outside and feel like you were completely alone, far away from all of the toils of civilization.

The best thing about mountain cabins for rent is, if the companies renting them are modern enough to advertise them on the internet, the cabins themselves are likely to contain all of the modern amenities.

If you want, you can even find mountain cabins for rent with satellite tv int the middle of the Smokies! Personally, I think that this is pointless, and our cabin didn’t even have television, as it would have disturbed the wonderful solitude of our surroundings, but it did have good insulation and adequate heating and cooling, as well as wonderfully warm showers which increased the relaxation of our vacation.

All in all, mountain cabins for rent are a great idea to consider for your next trip. There is no place with fresher air, or quieter nights, no better place to get away from it all than a quiet mountain cabin. I can’t wait for next year.

Miami Beach Vacation Rentals – Getting The Best From Your Budget

My parents have dreamed of moving to Florida for many years. Now that they are retired and all of the kids have grown and moved away they are finally able to live out that dream. At first, my siblings and I were saddened by the news of their departure but then we started planning visits by looking into Miami Beach vacation rentals.

Now we can’t wait until they are settled enough for company.

We found so many great places to stay on one online visit that we couldn’t decide what we wanted to do. First of all, we had to consider how much we were going to spend on the Miami Beach vacation rentals. There are a lot of options that appeal to even the most meager wallets. Some of us wanted to go big while others preferred something a little thrifty.

After researching the Miami Beach vacation rentals and considering our options we actually found that each option was relatively cheap. The first consideration we made was for a small apartment. As small as the space is, it still sleeps five people and only costs about 550 dollars per week. We really couldn’t afford not to look at this Miami Beach vacation rental.

The next spot costs considerably more but it is a spacious condo that sleeps six. This larger place could accommodate two couples and we could squeeze three kids into this Miami Beach vacation rental. Even though the condo costs about 1200 dollars per week we could split the fee in two and share the space.

I really favored another option in Miami Beach vacation rentals. Houses can be rented for as little as 1500 dollars per week. We could have all three couples share a house for the Florida get away for about the same price as the small single apartment. We could enjoy the spaciousness of a house by the ocean while saving a lot of money in the long run.

Some of the houses available as Miami Beach vacation rentals did run about 2100 dollars per week but we could just ignore those no matter how attractive they are. After considering all of the options we will probably go with the Florida vacation home for rent rather than the condo or apartment.

Now the only thing we have to do is get my parents down to Florida. With all of the great Miami Beach vacation rentals available the only worry we have is being invited to stay at their house.
