Finding The Best Cabins in Lake Tahoe

In Northern California, particularly for those of us living in the bay area, there is no more popular destination than cabins in Lake Tahoe. Every Friday, traffic up highway 101 slows almost to a stop.

Every Sunday evening, traffic is blocked up for miles on the way back into San Francisco. And you can bet that at least one in every five of those cars, at least one in every five of those drowsy and impatient souls, is coming back from cabins in Lake Tahoe.

One of the reasons for the popularity of cabins in Lake Tahoe among vacationers is the combination of proximity and convenience. It is easy to get to Lake Tahoe, and the roads are good all the way, yet it is far enough outside any major population centers to feel like a full fledged outing.

Families taking trips out to cabins rentals in Lake Tahoe feel like their going somewhere outside of their daily routine, and off the beaten path, and yet The whole Lake Tahoe area, particularly South Lake Tahoe, is on the beaten path enough to be accessible during an ordinary weekend.

Another thing that I have always liked about going to visit cabins in Lake Tahoe is the unparalleled beauty of the area. It is hard to believe that I am the only one! There really is no where that is more scenic than Lake Tahoe, with its waters and mountains, and yet the scenery isn’t the only draw.

There are more recreational activities available in the Lake Tahoe area than in almost any wilderness area, from skiing to swimming, to fishing, to hiking. And they are all located a convenient distance from each other so that, no matter what time of year it is, cabins in Lake Tahoe will always furnish an attractive destination for seasonal recreation.

Personally, although I’ve enjoyed cabin rentals in Lake Tahoe on more than one occasion, I mostly prefer other locations. My favorite one, at least during the summer and early fall, is Point Reyes. It is a national seashore, and one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen.

Best of all, except for a few spots, it is rarely even the slightest bit crowded. Best of all, there is always camping there, while cabins in Lake Tahoe tend to fill up. Although it doesn’t have the same glamor, I’ll take Point Reyes over Lake Tahoe any day.

Hilton Hotels

Though I can’t stand the site of Paris Hilton, I do love to stay in Hilton hotels because they are priced pretty good and seem to have everything I want when I stay away from home.

Though the Crown Plaza hotels are my favorites, the Hiltons are the next choice for me. I have found that some of their hotels, like the Doubletree, are in fact some of the best hotels for their price, but it depends on where you stay.

Most of the Hilton hotels I have stayed in have the three things I look for in a hotel.  They must have great beds, a restaurant, and a stylish and clean interior. This is harder to find than you think. Many hotels have two but there aren’t many in my price range that has all of them.

The Doubletree Hilton hotels can be the best bargain if you stay in the right one. I stayed in one in Virginia recently that was a hundred a night, but should probably have been two hundred. I stayed in one of the Doubletree Hilton hotels in Nashville a few years ago, and I think I overpaid at ninety dollars. It really depends on the individual hotel.

Hilton hotels also have the Hilton Garden Springs among others. These are nice too, though I don’t know how common they are. I stayed there a while back and was delighted with every aspect of the stay. They were good to us and went above and beyond to find me a room when my reservation seemed to come up missing.

The customer service I receive at all Hilton hotels seems to be above and beyond anyone else anywhere. It’s a good feeling to feel appreciated for your stay.

I will probably continue to stay at Hilton hotels, even if it means more money in the pocket of Paris once her inheritance kicks in. Her family did an amazing job with their hotels and I hope they are around for a long time to come. As long as she’s not the one greeting me when I stay in Hilton hotels, I can live with it.

If you want to be sure of a clean stay with a good bed, look for a Hilton when you need somewhere to stay. In my experience, they will go out of their way to make you comfortable, and your stay will be memorable for all of the right reasons.

Where To Find Cabins For Rent

If you love the great outdoors, there are plenty of places you can go to get away. I love being outside myself, and there is nothing quite like the crisp, clean air of the woods.

As much as I have tried, I just haven’t been able to fall in love with sleeping on the lumpy ground inside the sometimes dank interior of a camping tent. Luckily for me, there are other ways to enjoy the outdoors without subjecting yourself to a sore back.

If you want to enjoy the mountains, but don’t like tents, you should consider looking for cabins for rent. A cabin affords you the niceties of home while allowing you to get away from it all.

You can find cabins for rent just about anywhere. Some are privately owned while others may belong to a state park or other organization. I know many people who own cabins, but will rent them out when they are not staying there to help pay for the expenses.

You may find cabins for rent in the classifieds if you want to remain close to home, or you can look online if you want to really get away from it all. Cabins for rent come in all shapes and sizes, and the chances are good that you will find one near any location you wish to visit.

If you want to find cabins for rent in state parks, you just have to look up their website. Some of these cabins have restrictions however, and you should find out what they are before you rent. Some can only be used in the summer, while others are available for what is known as winter camping.

These are great if you like to ski or hunt. They can also be used to find some special alone time for just you and your partner. The prices will vary, and they often rent out quickly, so make sure you reserve your cabin for rent at the earliest possible date.

Many resorts that cater to honeymoons also have cabins for rent if you don’t want to stay in one of their suites. These give the couple all the privacy they want while still allowing them to take advantage of the other activities that resort may have.

Just remember when looking for cabins for rent that some are better than others. Make sure you look up some traveler reviews of that particular resort and see if anyone has had a problem with the cabins. It might be too late to salvage your trip if you don’t know the cabins for rent are in deplorable condition until you arrive.

Choosing Bed and Breakfasts Romantic Packages

When we think of bed and breakfasts romantic packages relaxing images immediately pop into our minds. Choosing the right romantic vacation for you and your mate is not the most complicated task but it does take some consideration. Following are some ideas to help you find the bed and breakfast romantic getaway that is ideal for you.

The first thing to consider is location. Are you a couple who likes to spend hours snuggled up by the fire or do you prefer sandy beaches and hot, sunny days? Choosing bed and breakfasts romantic packages that suit your preference is easy if you choose the right location. After all, you don’t want to spend the entire time at the inn.

You definitely want to choose bed and breakfasts romantic packages that offer great dining options in the area. Whether you are a fan of fine dining or whether you prefer a picnic basket on the beach many bed and breakfast inns offer great ideas for their guests. You might opt for a simple meal in a quaint restaurant or you might find an inn that offers meals as well.

Finding fun things to do during the day might pose some challenges if you don’t read up on the bed and breakfasts romantic locations in addition to information about the inn. You might love the accommodations but find that there is nothing to do for miles around. Some may find that appealing but most like to have a scheduled activity when they vacation.

The next thing that you want to consider when organizing your romantic vacation is the style of the inn itself. Some couples prefer an old-fashioned inn that boasts all of the comforts of the classic home while other prefer cutting edge architecture and modern amenities. Bed and breakfasts romantic retreats should be determined by what appeals to your personal style.

The ideal location along with great dining, entertainment and comfortable accommodations work together to make some of the bed and breakfasts romantic packages too good to be true. Finding a wonderful destination is not always simple but the efforts you put into it will pay off.

No matter what you can be sure that any of the bed and breakfast romantic getaways will be perfect if you do a little planning in advance. You might find that there is more than one destination that appeals to you or you might find the one romantic inn that you return to year after year.

Beach House Rentals

My family has planned a beach trip every year for the past thirty years. We always end up getting adjoining hotel rooms so that we can walk back and forth and have more room.

Now that our family has grown up, some have married and have children, we simply have outgrown the concept of getting adjoining rooms. We need something much larger. So, my mother and I decided that we should probably start to look for some beach house rentals and cut the costs by having everyone contribute.

I immediately turned to the internet, as I always do, searching for beach house rentals in the town that we always vacation in. while my intentions were good, finding a house to rent was much easier said than done.

Instead, I found lots of advertisements for real estate agencies in the areas. I didn’t want to go through an agent, I wanted to make my own plans.

I ended up having a few places that offered beach house rentals mail me some information, but I wasn’t very impressed. After a few weeks, I finally gave in and called a real estate company in the town and asked for them to mail me information on beach house rentals and anything that would be helpful.

Several days later, I received a package in the mail that contained lots of catalogs, brochures, flyers and information on all of the rentals that they dealt with. I was overwhelmed but confident that we’d find something in the pile that I was trying to organize.

Most of the beach house rentals were much more expensive than the hotel rooms that we had outgrown, but since there would be several families staying there, that cut the costs into thirds.

Our first mission was to find a house that had enough of bedrooms so that everyone had privacy and didn’t have to feel so cramped. We knew that we’d save money on food because all of the beach house rentals had kitchens.

We could easily cook a majority of the meals and not have to worry about where we were going to be eating breakfast or dinner on any given day.

We quickly learned that with beach house rentals, you are responsible for your own cleaning. There is no housekeeping that comes in daily to make your beds and sweep the sand out of the house. You’re on your own for that.

We finally found a wonderful beach house that we reserved for our normal vacation week. It turned out to be absolutely perfect and we’ll end up returning in the future.

Staying At a Quality Hotel

When I travel, I insist on staying in a quality hotel. I used to take the cheapest place I could find, but I soon found that I was completely dissatisfied and it put a bit of a damper on my vacation or weekend getaway.

When you spend a little more money to get a room in a quality hotel you will find that the entire experience is well worth the cost. Not only are you not worried about cleanliness, you have many features and services available to you that may help you feel right at home while you are away from home.

One feature I insist upon in a quality hotel is a restaurant. Many hotels don’t have them and I find this to be highly inconvenient. Don’t we all have to eat? When I travel with my daughter, getting out in my car to search for food in a strange place is not exactly what I want to be doing with my time.

I want to have somewhere to eat, and a good quality hotel will have something for everyone. In most cases they will only serve breakfast or dinner, but many serve lunch menus as well.

Another thing a quality hotel must have is a magnificent bed. When I spend over a hundred dollars a night on a room, the bed had better to be die for. Some of the best beds I have found were in the Crowne Plaza hotels, and the ones in the Marriott’s are not too bad either.

If the bed is not comfortable you can’t get a good rest, which is what many people need as a part of a good vacation. If you want to know if a hotel is a quality hotel, just ask about the beds.

You can find great prices on a quality hotel if you take some time to look. You can find great deals on online travel sites. This works best if you already have an idea of which hotel you want to stay in. You can look up their prices and see what they have to offer you. Y

ou may find that another quality hotel in the area has a better deal, and that may help you decide to stay somewhere else. Just remember when you use these sites you have to prepay. That means if you cancel the reservation you may not be able to get your money back.
