Cheap Romantic Vacations

Are you married? If there is one thing that is imperative in any marriage, it’s time together. Now, before you say anything, I just want to be clear on this issue. Time together does not involve family reunions; time together does not consist of family vacations; finally, time together does not involve the children at all. I am addressing time only spent with each other. Two people are involved total. Am I being clear enough on this one? Okay, I thought so. Anyway, this special time together may involve walks on the beach or in the park, weekends without the kids, cheap romantic vacations, or even a day at the spa. How does this all strike you? Yep, that’s what I thought; you can’t wait to ditch those kids now.

It isn’t difficult finding getaway spots in this day and age. All you need handy is your laptop. Pop it open and punch in “cheap romantic vacations.” Google or Yahoo will take you all over the place. In fact, you might be pretty surprised at how far your dollar will go. Especially at the right time of year. Seasons make all the difference. Now, first of all; where would you like to go? Are you interested in a quick jaunt off to the big city for a weekend, or do the mountains tickle your fancy a bit more? It’s all a personal thing! When I think of cheap romantic vacations, I typically think of a drive up through a nearby state. My wife and I can pack a few things and head down to the Carolinas or up through New England. This is an utter blast; trust me. The main issue at hand is that you’re doing things together. That’s the way it should be. Cheap romantic vacations are the key to a successful marriage or relationship. Well, at least one of them anyway. Then there’s that whole communication thing, but that’s debatable. Or so I hear.

Stop hitting up cheesy travel agents for cheap romantic vacations. They play no part in this scheme of things. In fact, I think they may have become obsolete. The World-Wide-Web is all you need in 2006. Let a massive search engine find you everything you possible need. Take a gander at the latest and greatest deals on cheap romantic vacations right now. Isn’t it time for that couple’s getaway?

Business Class Flights

I used to really resent the travelers with business class flights. It didn’t seem fair. All these people pay extra money for business class airfare while I would have to sit in cramped seats. This is no mere  case of envy. It’s not just that I wanted the comfort of a business class flight – I needed it but couldn’t afford it. You see, I am 6 feet and 5 inches tall. Sitting in cheap coach class airline seats is like torture to me. Nonetheless, I could not justify the expense of flying in business class flights. It’s not that I couldn’t afford it, but if I had spent money on that I would’ve had to save on my other expenses. It didn’t seem like a reasonable order of priorities.

Now that I am a business traveler, however, I love the business class flights. If I had not had to travel in all of those cramped seats for so long, I would not appreciate the luxury of business class seats. Although there are no cheap business class flights, my company has decided to spring for the added expense anyway. It really is a luxury. There is plenty of foot room, there are free, complementary drinks, and a decent tasting meal served as well.

I also have begun to understand the logic of business class flights. It is true that I missed not having a business class flight when I was poor. Nonetheless, I didn’t really need it as much as I thought I did. You see, I would only go on an airplane every once in a while. Sitting in cramped seats now and then was not that big a deal. I did not really hurt me in the long run. If you travel all the time, however, business class flights are more of a necessity. If you’re constantly cooped up in a small area with no room to move around, it can probably do bad things to your back. It is not just that business travelers have the money to afford this luxury. I really believe that they need it more than other people do.

Still, I can’t help but think that if airlines sacrificed business class flights and first class flights in the name of giving more equitable foot room to everyone, it would be a lot more just. They could charge a little bit more for comfortable coach class seating for all.

Arkansas Trout Fishing

To me, baseball isn’t the great American pastime; fishing is.  I was raised on Arkansas trout fishing, and my son has been raised on it as well.  Trout fishing in Arkansas is one of the most popular ways to spend time.  You see, things move a little bit slower down there.  I don’t want you to think that we are all rednecks.  Yes friends, we have electricity, plumbing, high-tech industry, and some of the greatest cities in the world.  In Arkansas, however, unlike in much of the rest of America, these things do not replace the great outdoors.  We still continue to take pleasure in nature, even as we enjoy the modern conveniences of life.

I still remember my first Arkansas trout fishing trip.  I was with my uncle, who I thought was a nut.  He’d make strange jokes that his kids could not understand, and sometimes stared off into the distance, but boy did that man know how to fish for trout.  He taught me all the tricks that you need to know for Arkansas trout fishing.  He taught me how to use fishing flies, lures, sinkers, hooks, and all the rest.  By the time I was done with a trip, I thought of myself as an expert fisherman.

It turns out that my dad had been into Arkansas trout fishing for a long time, but had given it up in the last few years.  It seems that he just didn’t have enough time anymore, but when I began to ask him to take me on a trip, he gladly agreed.  Our first Arkansas trout fishing trip was a little bit awkward.  You see, my dad was not really the talkative type, and it was hard for him to be alone with nothing to do but sit there and fish for so long.  On the other hand, I was just the opposite, and liked to talk nonstop.  It took a while to get into a natural rhythm, but when we did, it was smooth sailing from there.

If you’ve never been Arkansas trout fishing before, I suggest that you go with an expert.  You see, the streams are different at different times of years, and you have to use different fishing techniques.  It can actually get pretty complicated.  You’ll have much more success with your Arkansas trout fishing adventure if you go with someone who knows the ropes.  They can show you how it’s done.

Travel Deals

As the snow falls down and the wind howls outside of your window, you just may be daydreaming about taking a vacation. Winter is usually thought of as the high seasons for traveling to a warm destination. While that is true, you can also find some wonderful travel deals if you take the time to look and ask around.

Contacting a travel agent could be one of the best ways to find out about what travel deals are currently being offered. Your agent can also advise you on where you may want to visit and help you find something within your price range. With the new travel restrictions that have gone into effect, your travel agent is best qualified to help you figure all of the details out to ensure you have easy traveling.

However, if you enjoy finding a travel deal on your own, you could easily have some luck with that as well. In fact, you may find better deals directly through your destination of choice if you’re willing to take that chance. Some people are not comfortable arranging their own travel itinerary because of all of the details that can be overlooked and not revealed. A lot of travelers would rather have a schedule already made and simply handed to them before they leave. With all of the discount websites that offer travel, finding a good travel deal is much simpler than it used to be. Each website offers low prices and tries to outdo one another.

If you absolutely have to find someplace warm and tropical to escape to, finding travel deals can easily be accomplished simply by doing some online research. If you definitely want a good travel deal, be willing to settle for something that may be less luxurious than what you’re hoping for. Some of the hotels that don’t get as many star ratings can be much more affordable. Of course, don’t compromise so much that you end up in a resort that isn’t safe and will create a horrible vacation.

Just compromise enough that affording your vacation is a bit more feasible. If you’re looking for a skiing vacation and it is the middle of the snow season, don’t expect to find some wonderful travel deals. When it is the prime time to be participating in the seasonal events, prices won’t be as accommodating. Again, you can settle for something more affordable than what you were hoping to find.

One of the best websites for finding excellent travel deals is cheaptickets.com. On this site, the prices seem to be more reasonable than other travel sites. Not only are hotels cheaper but airfares may be more affordable as well. With a bit of luck and some research, you may find some excellent travel deals.
