Hunting And Fishing Holidays

Whilst some people prefer to be pampered and live in luxury on a family vacation in an all inclusive resort, other prefer the open air and favour a good old fashion camping an hiking holiday.

But for the even more adventurous nothing can be more enjoyable than a hunting and fishing holiday to really take your mind away from the stresses of everyday life.

Although hunting and fishing has changed a lot over the years, the essential spirit is the same as it has been for generations.

Equipment has changed a lot though, and the blanket has been replaced by the sleeping bags, maps are being replaced by personal GPS systems (although you should never rely upon these totally) and the good old camp fire has been replaced by the portable gas camping stove. That said many still prefer a good old fashioned.

If you are open to a real back to nature experience try a weekend break to make sure you enjoy the experience before you embark on a full on camping and hunting vacation.

Choosing A Honeymoon Destination

Getting married is one of the highlights of our relationship with our partners and the honeymoon will hopefully be one of our most memorable vacations, if not the most memorable.

The biggest question though is where to go? Do you go for luxury on an all inclusive holiday package or do you opt for quiet romantic Caribbean location (or even an adventure holiday for the adventurous types).

For example, if you are a fan of luxury, the best honeymoon locations are the ones with the best hotels. There are bed and breakfasts, five-star hotel packages, cruise ships – the list goes on and on.

Of course, the best honeymoon locations for the adventurous sort are quite different. Do you wants to climb a mountain? Do you want to sail on the ocean? If you are both waterspouts enthusiasts then a specialist diving holiday will be very memorable.

No matter where you choose the important thing to remember is that your honeymoon is for both of you so make sure you choose a honeymoon that you will both definitely enjoy.

Lanzarote News – Lanzarote Tourism Defies Credit Crunch

Expectations that the credit crunch, weakening pound and diminishing disposable incomes have sounded the death knell for overseas tourism appear a little wide of the mark.  As specific markets, such as Lanzarote in the Canary Islands are reporting a bumper increase in British visitor numbers for the first half of 2008.

According to research recently released by AENA, the Spanish airport authority, tourist visits from the UK have in fact increased by a whopping 15.6% during  the first half of this year, in comparison with the same period in 2007.  With the island welcoming 509,755 British guests up until the end of June2008.

Irish visitor numbers have increased too – with 123,047 tourists from Eire travelling to Lanzarote over the same period.  A rise of 5.4% on 2007 figures – and an indication of the islands incredible popularity in the Republic, with Lanzarote attracting more Irish visitors annually than any other destination in Spain.

Other key markets, such as Holland, Austria, Norway and Sweden have also helped contribute to an overall increase in foreign visitor numbers of 5.6% during the first half of 2008.  With Germany the only major market returning negative figures – down 13% to date on 2007.

The Canary Island Tourist Board has also recently reported that the number of Spanish nationals visiting Lanzarote is on the rise too.  Up 3.7% during the first half of 2008.

Collectively, these figures represent the best first half annual performance that Lanzarote has enjoyed for many years – a trend which if continued will see the island break the one million British tourist visits barrier for the first time since 2003.
