Need a Las Vegas Vacation Guide?

We all think we know about Las Vegas, even though many of us have never been there. But we really don’t, and that’s where finding a quality Las Vegas vacation guide will come in handy. There’s a lot more to the city than just the Strip, although that area is certainly the most famous part of the town. And planning out a Vegas vacation intelligently can make a big difference in the enjoyment factor.

What goes into making up a good vacation guide, especially for a town as exciting and vibrant as Las Vegas? Well, the guide itself needs to be made up of more than just a slew of discount coupons and come-on ads for buffet-style eateries. Good Vegas guides tend to divide up the action into the Casino and gambling activities and the family fun activities, which are a part of the casinos, many times.

Many of these guides also try to engage in a little evaluation and rating of the different hotel and casino-hotel rooms and lodges, too. And they have sections on dining in the city; for example, which restaurants are worth spending some money on and which are good for just a quick buffet-type episode before going gambling again. And some of them will also try to educate the reader a bit on how casino gambling works.

There are several information-filled and easy-to-understand vacation guides online, too. Take the time to go to the Internet and check them out. Also, there are most likely several hundred Las Vegas vacation guide type blogs and web entities about the town. They all emphasize different activities, with many of them focusing on the casinos and the Strip.

Finding a quality Las Vegas vacation guide isn’t hard, but it can be time-consuming if you let yourself get swamped by all the offerings available in terms of guides. Pick out the ones that best answer the questions you might have about the parts of Las Vegas that interest you the most and then use them wisely.

If you enjoy golf, we highly recommend that you ask your guide about the best Las Vegas golf courses.

How to Choose The Best Photographer

Have a special day coming up that you need to find a photographer for?  Well you’re in luck.  The experience I have gained as a San Diego Photographer will be to your benefit as I share some insights on what you need to do to find the right person for the job.  So before you roll the dice with any old photographer in the yellow pages, heed my quick tips and you will be very pleased in what photographer you find for the job.

When you know that a special day is coming up, most people want a way to remember those special moments, and most of the time it will be with pictures.  So it is critical that if you are going to hire a photographer to capture those moments, that you do your research, , especially if it is a wedding, I know from first hand experience as a San Diego Wedding Photographer.  Start by asking friends and family for any people they can refer you to.  With that list, you can start to put together some potential candidates.

After talking with your friends and family, you should now have a good list of photographers to work with.  With that, take a look at their websites.  See if they have an online portfolio for you to view.  By looking at their past work, you will get a better idea of whether or not their style and the types of shots that they take are in line with what you have in mind.  By doing this, you can narrow your list down even more to the photographers whose work you like so far.

Now you are ready to conduct some interviews.  This doesn’t have to be in person.  You can do it over the phone.  The goal of these phone interviews is to ask questions.  Questions that will help you determine if this is the right person for the job.  The more specific you are in asking your questions, the more specific your prospective photographer can be helping you better understand if this is the right person for the job.  By doing this you will narrow the field even more, and from that you can finally schedule to meet those in person who you like so far.

Now, after meeting with the final photographers on the list, it is time to decide who will be the right person for the job.  Some of the factors you want to base your decision upon is, does this person understand what you want for this photo shoot, and how to capture the special moments.  Also is this a person whom you like.  Believe it or not, for something as intimate as photographing a special day, you want to make sure it is somebody you get along with.  After you believe you have found the perfect photographer, then go ahead and make the decision and let the person know you have chosen them.

Doing these few but profound steps will help you in many ways.  The process will give you the opportunity to know your photographer more intimately then any other process.  Having this knowledge of him or her will allow you to connect with them, which is very important.  It will also let you see what their style and vision will be for the photo shoot.  And probably the most important part is the fact you will be at ease in your mind, because you have taken great care to find the right photographer.

State Capitol - Olympia, Washington

While planning your Washington vacation you will want to visit the Washington State Capitol in Olympia. The building is also the home of the State Legislature. Built out of a wide array of marble the facility was not completed for occupancy until 1928.

Due to the conflict of where the capitol of the state should be located the building was delayed 39 years after the admission to statehood. Both Seattle and Olympia, along with a couple other communities, wanted it to be in their cities. It was finally decided to put it in Olympia.

A visit to the Governor’s Mansion is also among the tours you will want to take. The tour of the capitol will take you approximately 30 minutes to 3 hours and 30 minutes. It all depends on how much time you want to spend and how detailed of a tour you want. The Governor’s Mansion should follow the capitol tour so that you can see the beauty of both buildings.

Your Dream Yacht Charter Vacation

A private yacht charter is a wonderful way to spend a honeymoon or vacation. Instead of hustling through crowded, austere airports, you will be luxuriating on the sunny deck of your own personal boat! Rather than riding a giant party ship with hundreds of people, you will be having the time of your life with just a few of your closest friends. While you’ll need to decide who to bring, what sort of boat to get and when to leave, the hardest decision you will have to make is where to go first.

A Mediterranean private yacht charter vacation can take you to Greece, Croatia, Turkey, Spain, France and Italy. These destinations are culturally rich with beautiful beaches, historic architecture and savory regional cuisine.

Generally, travelers will come during the summer months of July and August when the days are warm and sunny and the breezes are light, although the weather is still seasonal from April to October, and the crowds are thinner. Charter boats traveling to the Mediterranean include power boats, luxury yachts, catamaran, sailboats and the bareboat charter.

  • A private yacht charter is a wonderful way to spend a honeymoon or vacation.
  • Travelers come to the Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Jamaica, the Florida Keys and the Bahamas for the white sandy beaches.
  • In the Bahamas, you can feast on spicy cuisine, fish on beautiful beaches, snorkel underwater grottos.

For those chilly winter months, why not take a private yacht charter to the warm Caribbean waters? Travelers come to the Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Jamaica, the Florida Keys and the Bahamas for the white sandy beaches, the pleasant trade winds, turquoise waters, West Indian cuisine and fun activities year-round.

There are more than 100 Virgin Islands, offering a plethora of coves for snorkeling, swimming, scuba diving, surfing, marine-life watching and lounging. On the shores, you will enjoy dancing, frozen blender drinks, crafts from local artisans and the dramatic mountain peak topography.

In the Bahamas, you can feast on spicy cuisine, fish on beautiful beaches, snorkel underwater grottos, gaze upon a habitat of 60,000 flamingos, star gaze the midnight skies, dance in nightclubs and splash around at the world-renowned Atlantis water-park and culture center.

A sailing charter in the Cayman Islands will whisk you away to the famous Seven Mile Beach (one of the best in the world!), the historic Pedro St. James castle, scuba diving shipwrecks in Cayman Brac, bird watching the rare red-footed Booby on Little Cayman and partaking in the museums and shops of George Town. Nothing beats the winter blues like a Caribbean yacht excursion!

The Indian Ocean has a lot to offer a private yacht charter. Luxury yacht charters in the Maldives are a rare, exotic winter adventure. Clear-water lagoons, coastal coves brimming with ecological diversity and colorful coral gardens bring many that love to snorkel here. The Seychelles are referred to as “the jewels of the Indian Ocean” and offer more than a hundred islands to explore.

The Coco Islands hide black parrots and giant tortoises in misty forests, while simultaneously offering warm tropical lagoons and white sand beaches. The pleasant trade winds are best during the winter and summer months. History buffs will be amazed at the pirate graves, leper hospital ruins and colonial plantation houses. Creole food and French influences also make the Indian Ocean private yacht charters intriguing.
